Pabianice

Pabianice (prononcé en polonais : [pabʲaˈɲit͡sɛ]) est une ville, située dans le powiat de Pabianice, dans la voïvodie de Łódź, dans la partie centrale de la Pologne.

Sa superficie s'étend sur 32,98 kilomètres carrés (km²) avec une population de 65 828 habitants en 2014.

De 1975 à 1998, la ville était attachée administrativement à l'ancienne voïvodie de Łódź.
Depuis 1999, elle fait partie de la nouvelle voïvodie de Łódź.

Elle constitue une gmina urbaine (commune urbaine) et le siège administratif (chef-lieu) du powiat de Pabianice et de la gmina rurale de Pabianice.

La commune représente 6,70 % de la superficie du powiat.

In June 2024, the Pabianice County Employment Office registered 2,600 unemployed people. The unemployment rate was 5.6%, higher than the average for the province and the country (Łódź Voivodeship – 5.3%, Poland – 4.9%^[3]).
