Biographie
Carrière en club
Formé au Metalurgs Liepaja, il commence sa carrière professionnelle en 2008 avec le HK Riga 2000 dans l'Ekstraliga, le championnat de Biélorussie. Le , il joue son premier match dans la KHL avec le Dinamo Riga face au HK Spartak Moscou.
Carrière internationale
Il représente l'équipe de Lettonie au niveau international. Il participe aux sélections jeunes. Le sélectionneur Ted Nolan l'appelle pour son premier championnat du monde en 2012.
